About Us

Welcome to the Friends of the Santa Rosa Libraries!

 Since 1962, our organization has had one simple mission: to provide financial aid to the Santa Rosa libraries.  

We rely on your generous donations of new or gently used books, CDs, DVDs, and puzzles to help us achieve our mission. Sales of your donations, membership fees, and cash donations are the source of the funds that, with board approval, are made available to the libraries. 

As an all-volunteer organization, our expenses are minimal and the branch  managers and librarians make funding requests for materials, programs, public outreach and special events. 

So, whether you’re a lifelong bookworm, a passionate advocate for literacy, or simply someone who believes in the transformative power of libraries, we  ask for your support.  Become a member, volunteer to work along side of us, come to our sales, and continue to supply us with saleable materials.
